MIG 728 is a state-of-the–art in-vehicle data terminal that caters for all kinds of fleet management solution. It is specially designed to withstand extreme conditions in any vehicular environment. MIG 728 utilizes the Intel StrongARM SA1110 206MHz RISC processor with on board memory of 64MB SDRAM, and a built-in Disk-on-chip flash ROM of up to 32MB for high demand applications and high volume storage needs.

The terminal has a high brightness 7 inch TFT LCD display for easy and comfortable viewing under bright daylight condition. The high sensitive touch panel and four programmable buttons provide a user friendly man-machine interface. The terminal is highly integrated with built-in high speed GPRS/GSM module that provides wireless data and voice communication, and GPS module that provides positioning and navigation information.

The terminal provides 8 RS232 ports and 8 I/O ports via a Junction Box for interface with other in-vehicle peripherals to support the most demanding application requirements.The Junction Box has a rechargeable Ni-MH battery built-in for protection against vehicle power surge or dip during engine ignition.

The terminal is running on Windows CE version 3.0, which can support vast applications such as digital map, text-to-speech engine, internet explorer, fleet-management software for all kinds of fleet management and car navigation functions. A suit of software development support package can be provided to assist developer to build applications on the terminal.
